12 Delightful Moments in Pregnancy & Motherhood

As a mom-to-be, I’ve loved list-style posts lately! I recently spent a weekend with the kids while David was in Utah. Despite feeling pregnant exhaustion, I managed to take the kids out for fun activities. Thankfully, my dad gave me a break by taking them out for a little adventure. So, here’s a fun list of 12 things related to pregnancy and motherhood that I’ve experienced recently:

  1. Kids are so forgiving! I felt bad for being impatient with them one evening, but when I apologized, they didn’t even remember what I was sorry for. Such pure hearts!
  2. I finally ordered a pregnancy pillow to help with sleepless nights. A well-rested mom is better for everyone, right?
  3. My kids constantly compete for my attention at night, wanting me to face them while sleeping. It’s both annoying and heartwarming, but I know I’ll cherish these memories later on.
  4. I’m in full nesting mode and can’t wait to set up the nursery in our new house. I opt for a calm, neutral theme with soft greens, terracotta shades, and pretty yellows.
  5. Sometimes, the best photos are taken spontaneously, like the ones David took of me in just a minute.
  6. It’s adorable how my son, Atticus, noticed our house “swallowing” things when we lose them – he didn’t want to put anything on the floor!
  7. My kids can’t wait for Christmas decorations, but I’m struggling to find the motivation to set up a tree before moving. Maybe I’ll just do a simple setup this year.
  8. We watched the new Grinch movie, and it’s so cute! Rosie, who’s scared of the original Grinch, loved the “nice Grinch” in this version.
  9. Finding outfits and gym clothes is getting harder with my growing bump, and it’s only going to get bigger in the next 2.5 months!
  10. A perk of moving while pregnant: not having to do much of the heavy lifting.
  11. Another perk: time flies by as you settle into your new home. The next couple of months will pass quickly, and I’ll be enjoying our new space.
  12. I’m still thoroughly enjoying my pregnancy, and despite the usual tiredness, I’m grateful for a healthy baby.

P.S. Seeing other pregnant women at the gym is inspiring! It’s amazing that we all have little humans attached to us, and I’m proud of us for staying active during pregnancy.
